Jon Carr

Jon completed his PhD at the University of Edinburgh, where he explored the evolution of language and conceptual systems through a combination of computational modelling and experiments. Jon is interested in Bayesian and information-theoretic approaches to learning and reasoning and how such principles can explain the high-level complexity observed in human behaviour and the culturally evolved phenomena that arise from such behaviour. At SISSA, Jon has joined Davide Crepaldi's Language, Learning and Reading lab to work on statistical learning in reading. Personal website:
