Admission procedure

If you are interested in joining the SISSA Cognitive Neuroscience PhD program, please contact any of the professors listed on the faculty members page for further discussion about our research and admission process.

The program accepts new students through the following procedures:

International (non-EU) candidates: selection based on academic qualifications only (no need to attend exams in SISSA)
Deadline 28 February 2019 – Outcome expected towards mid March

All candidates (EU and non-EU alike): selection based on academic qualifications, written exam and interview held in SISSA.
Spring Deadline: 12 March 2019 – Exams on 2 and 3 May 2019
Fall Deadline: 30 August 2019 – Exams on 12 and 13 September 2019

The calls for both the international and the Spring all-candidates tracks are now open here.

Admitted candidates at either exam will start their program on November 4, 2019. Candidates who are not admitted in the Spring selection can participate in the Fall exam.
