The Department Welcome Day will happen on Monday November 4th, in Room 4, 9.30-12.30. This is the official start of the year, where we welcome the newcomers, shake hands, build our community, and we all try to get inspired for another full-speed year of science.

The inspiration will come from our invited speakers, Miguel Maravall, a former SISSA trainee who went on to establish his lab at the University of Sussex, where he is now a Professor in Neuroscience studying the brain’s ability to track sequences of perceptual events in mice and humans; and Bahador Bahrami, a Humboldt Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin, where he runs his second ERC on overconfidence in interactive decision making, after medical studies in Iran and his turn to Cognitive Neuroscience at UCL and in Denmark.
