Valeria joined SISSA in 2019 as a Ph.D. fellow in Domenica Bueti's Time Perception Lab. She completed her Ph.D. in 2024 and currently works as a post-doctoral research fellow. Her research focuses on how temporal information is processed in the human brain, and how it interacts with other sensory features and the statistical properties of the temporal environment. To achieve this, she employs psychophysics, eye-tracking, and functional MRI combined with neuronal-based modeling. She obtained a B.Sc. in Biotechnology from the University of Torino and an M.Sc. in Neurobiology from the University of Pavia.
